The Ability Guy
Roger B. Jones is a consultant, trainer, facilitator and professional speaker. He has been a prominent Canadian voice on disability and diversity issues over the past 20 years.
Listed in Who's Who in Black Canada, Roger acts both as a champion of rights and access for people with disabilities, and a facilitator for governments, schools, and businesses facing the challenge of improved access for everyone.
Since becoming a quadriplegic in 1985, his lifelong goal has been to address conceptual and marketplace constraints to accessibility. He has been an exponent of market-led solutions to accessibility, drawing attention to the untapped potential of "The Ability Market".
Through his company World Accessibility, Roger has been involved in several innovative projects, including the development of a proprietary web interface suited to people with mobility or cognitive challenges. Roger also helps companies find their niche in "The Ability Market" - which currently makes up 12 percent of the North American population, and is growing as the population ages.
